At Girls Inc. of Alameda County, 97% of our girls identify as youth of color, with 36% identifying as Latinx, a growing majority that is also mirrored in OUSD schools, as well as in the growing Latinx share of Oakland’s overall population. Among our staff, 57% identify as Latinx, reflecting the community we serve.
*NOTE: 3% Caucasian, 3% Chinese, 1% Filipinx, 3% Middle Eastern, 3% Other, 2% Other Asian, 1% Vietnamese. All other ethnicities were below 0.5%.
