Kathy joined Girls Inc. of Alameda County in January 2018. As the Chief Development Officer, Kathy oversees major gift initiatives and institutional giving strategies, marketing and public relations efforts, volunteer and corporate engagement opportunities, and large-scale events.
A lifelong Oakland resident, Kathy began her career as a high school math teacher, eventually transitioning to the world of fundraising through St. Paul’s Episcopal School where she led development efforts, including a successful capital campaign to build a gym and lower school library during the recession. Most recently, Kathy was the Director of Advancement at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, leading fundraising for the 110 year old organization. In this role, Kathy focused on the externally facing activities of the agency: development, communications, community engagement, parish partnerships and volunteer management.
Kathy earned her B.S. in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College, and she and her husband have raised their three children in her hometown. She is honored to be a guiding agent to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
