Johanna Masis
Director of Program Quality, Training, and Assessment
Johanna is a life-long and passionate youth, family and community advocate in the out-of-school time (OST) field. She is a proud Nicoya who was raised in Hayward and lives in Oakland. You can find her taking her beagle on adventures all over the Bay Area, listening to podcasts, and most likely hearing her laugh with family and friends. This UCSB Gaucho and Holy Names University alumna has taught abroad in Japan and has been in service to communities in the San Francisco, Alameda, and Oakland areas. She firmly believes that education is liberation and that it truly takes a village to support young people on their educational and personal journeys. As a former CalSAC LDI Fellow and Board member, she has learned the power of community voice and calls to action. Her commitment to high program quality is undeniable. As a new member to the Girls Inc. team, she looks forward to supporting the agency with dynamic, relevant training to support the day-to-day work in helping girls be Strong, Smart, and Bold.
