Jasleen joined Girls Inc. of Alameda County in 2021. She’s a Bay Area local and has lived in the East Bay her entire life. She is a regular volunteer at the Alameda County Food Bank as well as a classroom volunteer for West Contra Costa County Unified School District.
After completing a degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz, Jasleen became an environmental educator for children in grades k-12. After a few years of working with young people, Jasleen transitioned to a career in adult education in the outdoor recreation industry. Teaching adults and working in retail analytics inspired Jasleen to return to school. She completed a Masters in Geography and Environmental Science at San Francisco State University. Using her skills in geographic information systems, she hopes to bring a different perspective as our Database and Donor Relations Manager. She has nearly 10 years of database management experience in the fields of customer service, retail, and land use planning.
Jasleen is passionate about serving her community and using her specialized skills to empower families in Alameda County. When she’s not at the Simpson Center for Girls, you can find her on local hiking trails and flying kites at the Berkeley Marina.
