Danielle Low-Waters

Director of Program Quality, Training, and Assessment

A graduate of San Francisco State University with a B.A. in Creative Writing, Danielle began her work with youth almost 20 years ago in recreation and community service programs. Throughout her tenure in direct service with the City of Fairfield and as a Coordinator of Programs with the City of Vacaville, Danielle always felt most excited about and connected to after school programs. Danielle joined Girls Inc. in 2014, drawn by the GIRLStart literacy program and social emotional supports it provides young people within an after school setting. As a School Based Program Manager, she helped increase the quality and effectiveness of Girls Inc. elementary programs, and worked closely with Oakland Unified School District as an external Youth Program Quality Assessment accredited assessor. Now, as the Director of Program Quality and Training, Danielle oversees all elementary training and compliance, continuing to ensure Girls Inc.’s programs always strive for continuous quality improvement.
