What’s New With our Alumnae Network?

Alumnae Fall Mixer Recap

We were thrilled to host our alumnae for an afternoon of connection and celebration at our November Fall Mixer. It was a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones, and strengthen the bonds that make our alumnae community so special.

The event featured great food, engaging activities, and an exciting raffle with fantastic prizes. Guests also left with thoughtfully curated care packages—a small way to show our appreciation for our alumna network!
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so meaningful. It’s always inspiring to see how our alumnae continue to support one another and how we can continue supporting them as they carry forward the Girls Inc. of Alameda County mission.

Girls Inc. National Luncheon
Our CEO Julayne Virgil attended the Girls Inc. National Luncheon in Los Angeles to celebrate 160 years of inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold, and to support recent alumna, Audrey, who represented Girls Inc. of Alameda County on the national stage. Some reflections from Audrey after she had the opportunity to speak:

“This experience was not only empowering, but heartwarming as I got to showcase how Girls Inc. has helped form me into the women I am today. It was a perfect culmination of the journey this organization has taken me on. I even had the pleasure of seeing Girls Inc. of Alameda County’s CEO, Julayne Virgil, someone who believed in me when I was just a little girl making her way through the Girls Inc. programs.

As I move forward as an official alumna, I’m making sure to carry forth the principles that this organization has instilled within me. I look forward to connecting with the Girls Inc. Alumnae network and becoming an active member!

I say now what I’ve said many times before, thank you Girls Inc. for this opportunity and thank you for investing in me and many other aspiring female leaders to come!”
