An Unforgettable Weekend of Adventure at Slide Ranch Camp

Nestled on a breathtaking cliff at Muir Beach overlooking the ocean, the girls began their adventure at Slide Ranch with hands-on learning experiences that brought them closer to nature. They milked goats, transforming the fresh milk into creamy, homemade cheese, baked mouthwatering herbed focaccia bread and made their own tea using fragrant herbs foraged from the garden. These moments offered an inspiring blend of creativity, sustainability, and self-sufficiency.

The girls also explored the nearby shoreline, immersing themselves in the wonders of marine life by discovering sea creatures in tide pools and admiring the beautiful sunset. Later, they stepped outside their comfort zones on a guided night hike, embracing the thrill of adventure under the starry sky.

When not exploring, the girls filled their time with activities like soccer and volleyball, friendly card games, painting sessions, bracelet making, dancing, and storytelling by the campfire. They also rolled up their sleeves for a garden project where they created a bed for new herbs and helped with meal preparation and campfire building, strengthening their sense of responsibility and teamwork.

This weekend was far more than an outing—it was a transformative experience. The girls embraced positive risk-taking, deepened their connection with nature, honed their teamwork and communication skills, and nurtured a vibrant sense of community and sisterhood.
