Girls Explore the Outdoors on Mendocino County Camping Trip

Twenty of our high school girls participated in a two-day camping excursion in Mendocino County in April!

The trip had a packed schedule where the girls flexed their teamwork and communication skills by working together to set up camp and cook their meals onsite. They also experimented with positive risk-taking, embarking on a canoe trip alongside harbor seals and otters, creating banana slug slime and learning how to follow the North Star on a night hike!

For many participants, this was the first time they had spent extended time in nature. The overall consensus? They would do it all over again!
