Girls Incorporated of Alameda County believes in protecting your personal information. We maintain the privacy of our donors and supporters and we do not trade, share or sell a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. Girls Inc. of Alameda County will only share or sell personal information once the donor has given the specific permission to do so.
We reserve the right to use personal information to protect the security or integrity of our website; to protect against a threat to personal safety or destruction of property; to protect against legal liability; and/or to cooperate with government officials or parties in litigation, or as otherwise required by law. We may also share personal information with our successors and assigns in accordance with law.
ANTI-SPAM & OPT-OUT POLICY
We have an opt-out policy on both our email communications and written communications; donors reserve the right to cease any mailings or email communications at any time of their choosing. This policy applies to both online and offline donor information.
DONATIONS & PURCHASES
In order to make a donation or purchase on this website, a donor must first complete a donation or order form, on which the user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number and expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes, to fill supporters’ orders and to provide donation receipts. If we have trouble processing an order or donation, this contact information can be used to get in touch with the donor. This information will be used to send the donor materials, a tax receipt (if a donation is made), or purchased items. Unless you indicate otherwise by checking the clearly-marked box on the purchase or donation form, the user will be added to Girls Incorporated of Alameda County mailing list.
OUR COMMITMENT TO SECURITY
This website takes every precaution to protect our donors’ information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our donation or purchase form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry — SSL.
The credit card company does not retain, share, store or use personal information for any secondary purposes. We do not share donor information with other organizations. Certain online credit card purchases and donations are processed through Network for Good, a third party service provider. These transactions are subject to the Network for Good Privacy, Security & Disclosure Statement. We do not sell or share any of your credit card, payment related, or other personal information. All of our supporters’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.
GIRLS INC. MAILING LIST
Donors who join Girls Incorporated of Alameda County’s mailing list will receive periodic mailings throughout the year. Please note that only donors to Girls Inc. receive our printed newsletter. Girls Incorporated of Alameda County does not share, exchange, rent, or sell our mailing lists. (Please reference the above privacy policy.)
CORRECTION/UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION
If your contact information changes, or if you would like to be removed from our mailing list, Girls Incorporated of Alameda County will correct, update or remove that information immediately. Please contact us at 510-357-5515 and ask for our Donor Relations Manager and we will update/ remove your information as requested.
